Let’s see how to make Chuda Matar:

  1. First, turn on the gas and place a pan on it to heat. Let the pan heat well.
  2. Add half of the refined oil to the pan. Do not add all the oil, just enough to fry the poha.
  3. Once the oil is hot, add the chuda (poha) to the pan. Mix it well and fry until it turns a light golden brown. Keep stirring continuously to avoid burning.
  4. Once the poha is lightly fried, remove it from the pan and set it aside.
  5. Now, in the same pan, add the remaining refined oil. Let the oil heat well.
  6. Add the two green chilies to the oil and sauté for about a minute.
  7. After the chilies are sautéed, add the peas and salt. Cover and cook for two minutes on medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  8. After two minutes, add the chopped onion and continue to sauté until the onions turn golden brown.
  9. Once the onions are cooked, add the fried poha to the pan. Mix everything well.
  10. Optionally, you can add a little black pepper powder for extra flavor.
  11. Turn off the gas and serve the Chuda Matar in a plate or bowl.
