Ingredients:

  • 250 grams wheat flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon carom seeds (ajwain)
  • 1 tablespoon refined oil
  • Additional oil (for the dough)
  • Water (for kneading the dough)
  • 2 ripe mangoes
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup milk

Method:

  1. Preparing the Puri Dough:
    • Take the flour in a large bowl.
    • Add salt and carom seeds.
    • Add 1 tablespoon of refined oil and mix well.
    • Gradually add water and knead the dough.
    • Once the dough is kneaded, add a little extra oil and mix.
    • Cover the dough and let it rest for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Preparing the Mango Pulp (Aam Ras):
    • Peel the mangoes and extract the pulp.
    • In a mixer jar, add mango pulp, sugar, and milk.
    • Blend all the ingredients until smooth.
  3. Rolling the Puri:
    • Make small dough balls from the kneaded dough.
    • Roll the dough balls into round puris, not too thin or too thick.
  4. Frying the Puri:
    • Heat refined oil in a frying pan.
    • Once the oil is hot, add one puri at a time and fry on medium heat.
    • Press the puri lightly so it puffs up.
    • Fry until both sides are golden brown.
    • Remove the fried puris and place them on a plate.
  5. Serving:
    • First, pour the Aam Ras into a serving bowl.
    • Serve the hot puris.
    • Enjoy the Aam Ras Puri with family and friends.
