Carrot Halwa is very tasty to eat and it gets ready quickly and easily. So, let’s start making Carrot Halwa.
Ingredients:
- 1 kg red carrots, peeled and grated
- 1 kg full cream milk
- 1 cup sugar (to taste)
- 1 tablespoon ghee
- 1/4 cup almonds, cashews, and cardamom powder
- 1/4 cup grated coconut
Method:
1. Preparing the Carrots
First, peel and wash the carrots thoroughly with clean water. Cut off the back part of the carrots and then grate them.
2. Heating the Milk in a Pan
To make the halwa, use an iron pan as the halwa doesn’t stick in it. If you don’t have an iron pan, you can use any large pot. Heat the milk on high flame in the pan.
3. Mixing Carrots and Milk
Add all the grated carrots to the milk. Use 1 kg full cream milk for 1 kg carrots. Mix the carrots and milk well.
4. Cooking Milk and Carrots
Cook the milk and carrots in a large pot so that it’s easy to stir. When most of the milk evaporates, reduce the flame.
5. Adding Sugar
Now add sugar to the halwa. Add sugar according to your taste and mix well. The color of the halwa will change.
6. Adding Ghee
Increase the flame and add one tablespoon of ghee to the halwa. Stir well so that the ghee mixes thoroughly with the halwa.
7. Adding Dry Fruits
Now add almonds, cashews, and cardamom powder to the halwa. Also, add grated coconut. If you want, you can finely chop the dry fruits and add them. Mix them well.
