Method:

  1. Mix Spinach and Other Ingredients:
    First, add the chopped onion to the chopped spinach. If you have green onions, you can use them as well. Next, add the chopped green chili, ginger-garlic paste or finely chopped ginger-garlic, and whole cumin seeds.
  2. Add Gram Flour:
    Now add gram flour (besan) gradually. Start with four tablespoons of besan and add more if needed. Then, add one teaspoon of carom seeds. Add salt at the very end.
  3. Prepare the Mixture:
    Mix all these ingredients well. Do not use water for mixing; simply mix the spinach with the besan as it is.
  4. Heat the Oil:
    Heat the oil in a pan on the stove. Once the oil is sufficiently hot, start adding small portions of the batter into the oil. Add only as many fritters as can fit comfortably in the oil at once.
  5. Fry the Fritters:
    After adding all the fritters to the oil, keep the heat between medium and high, ensuring the fritters do not burn and cook well inside. When the fritters turn light golden brown on top, turn them over and continue frying until they are fully cooked inside.
  6. Remove the Fritters:
    Once the fritters are cooked inside out, remove them from the oil and place them in a bowl or on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb the excess oil. Fry the remaining batter in the same way.
